“No party is complete without cocktails! My friends all have different tastes when it comes to their drink of choice, so I like to maintain a well-stocked bar with different kinds of alcohol to keep everyone happy.” Well said, Khloe Kardashian.

There are two tried and tested ways of getting together and bonding over life: The smoke circle, and drinking. Combine the two and you have a cocktail party of the times. So, in celebration of World Cocktail Day (every May 13), we came up with a list of our 8 favourite cannabis-infused cocktail recipes.

Whether you needed an excuse for a fun night out (or in), a healthy alternative to alcohol, or want a new way to spice up your events, cocktails provide a sensorial arrangement of scents and flavours that keep everything exciting. Packed full of flavour, vitamins, and antioxidants, they’re sure to leave you feeling refreshed, revitalized, and really, really good—without the hangover. 🥴

Pro tip: CBD offsets THC's unwanted effects. If you start to feel uncomfortable, mix it up by incorporating CBD.

Vibe guide:

Full Spectrum (CBD oil): Daily calm, energy, mood, and focus.

Uplift (THC oil): Sunny, bright, creative, uplifted, alert, inspired, free.

Unwind (THC oil): Calm, sensual, connected, creative, relaxed, soothed, blissful.

1 CBD : 1 THC: Warm, soothed, serene, pain-free.

3 CBD : 1 THC: Balanced, focused, creative, easy-going.

If you're looking for an option that's completely free of THC, we recommend Isolate, My Supply Co.'s CBD isolate oil. However, you'll need much more CBD isolate than full-spectrum CBD to get similar effects. Hibiscus health benefits.

  • Rich in antioxidants such as beta-carotene, vitamin C, and anthocyanin, which support health across various conditions and functions. Antioxidants destroy harmful molecules known as free radicals within your body. Free radicals cause damage to cells that contribute to diseases such as cancer, heart disease, and diabetes.
  • Fights inflammation, which plays a role in the development of many illnesses, including cancer, asthma, Alzheimer’s disease, heart disease, and rheumatoid arthritis.
  • Possesses potential anti-cancer properties. Hibiscus is high in polyphenols, compounds that have been shown to reduce the growth and spread of plasma, mouth, prostate, and stomach cancer cells.

Kombucha health benefits.

  • A natural source of probiotics, which provide your gut with healthy bacteria. These bacteria can improve many aspects of health, including digestion, inflammation, and even weight loss.
  • May provide the benefits of green tea, one of the healthiest beverages on the planet. This is because green tea contains many bioactive compounds, such as polyphenols, which function as powerful antioxidants in the body and have potential anti-cancer benefits. Kombucha made from green tea may offer many of the same health benefits as green tea itself, such as weight loss and blood sugar control.
  • Is antioxidant-rich. Kombucha, especially when made with green tea, appears to have antioxidant effects in your liver.
  • Is rich in tea polyphenols and acetic acid, which have both been shown to suppress the growth of undesirable bacteria and yeasts without affecting the beneficial, probiotic bacteria and yeasts involved in kombucha fermentation.

8. Sparkling blood orange mocktail.

A photograph of two glasses of sparkling blood orange mocktail for an article on cannabis mocktail recipes

To make this recipe, you’ll only need 4 ingredients—blood oranges, honey, vanilla extract, and sparkling water.  Ice doesn’t count. Things will get messy before they get pretty.

Benefits:

Antioxidant. Anti-inflammatory. Low-cal. Low sugar.

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz. blood orange juice, freshly squeezed
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 4 oz. lime-flavoured sparkling water
  • Blood orange slices for garnish
  • Optional: CBD or THC oil of choice

Instructions:

  1. Squeeze the blood orange juice into a mason jar with a lid or cocktail shaker.
  2. Add the honey and vanilla extract to the unchilled juice. Shake. Add ice to cool it down.
  3. Pour evenly into two ice-filled glasses. Top with lime sparkling water and a slice of blood orange on top. Cheers! Enjoy right away.
  4. Add CBD or THC oil of choice.

Note: It’s important to add the honey to room temperature juice. This way the honey will dissolve into the juice with a little shaking. If you refrigerate the blood orange juice for make-ahead prep, you’ll need to heat the juice for the honey to dissolve.
