Microdosing 101.

Unlock your potential with our complete guide to microdosing. Learn how microdosing can support the clarity, focus, and mental dexterity that helps you excel at the things you care about.

What is microdosing?

It's taking sub-perceptual amounts of dried Psilocybin mushrooms to boost your energy, mood, focus, and sense of well-being. That means no visuals and no altered state of consciousness. This can range from 25mg to 300mg, depending on your tolerance, metabolism, and current brain chemistry.

We designed our microdose Stacks with 25mg Psilocybe cubensis per capsule to give you complete control over your microdose.

Should I microdose?

Microdosing is not a magic bullet. It is either a tool for enhancing your cognition, mood, and sense of well-being, or for restoring vital brain and body chemistry that is impaired by stress, depression, poor sleep, toxins, and oxidative stress. If you frequently exhibit the symptoms below, you may experience transformational shifts from microdosing:

  • brain fog
  • inability to concentrate
  • low or depressed mood
  • fatigue
  • irritability
  • cognitive impairment
  • digestive problems, including IBS
  • emotional sensitivity or mood swings
  • headaches
  • insomnia
  • low self-esteem

What can I expect from microdosing?

A sense of joyous energy, calm alertness, improved focus, and enhanced adaptability to stressors and challenges. After using our microdose Stacks, our customers report:

  • appreciating life more
  • being more calm and adaptable
  • decreased depression
  • decreased anxiety
  • increased creativity
  • a sense of peace or wellbeing

and more.

How do I microdose?

First, choose a microdosing protocol. The Fadiman and Stamets Protocols are the two most common, but we've compiled a full list here. Refer to this section's suggested reading for more tips on how to get started with microdosing.

You may need to experiment with a couple of protocols before landing on one that best supports your goals. Start with 25mg of dried Psilocybin mushrooms, and add another 25mg each microdosing day until it is no longer sub-perceptual. When that happens, dial it back by 1 capsule. Congratulations — you've found your ideal dose.

What is microdosing doing to my brain?

Microdosing Psilocybin is clinically studied to exert a number of benefits that support healthy cognitive aging. In addition to improvements in cognition and mood, microdosing also leads to improvements in gut health, energy balance, metabolism, and sleep quality:

  • Psilocybin has a high affinity for a specific type of serotonin receptor called 5-HT2AR. This receptor is essential for learning and cognition. It also plays an important role in your metabolism, gut health, immune function, sleep-wake cycle, and suppressing inflammation in the brain.
  • Psilocybin stimulates neurogenesis, the growth of new nerve cells from your own stem cells
  • Psilocybin enhances neuroplasticity, your nervous system’s ability to reorganize your nerve pathways
  • Psilocybin amplifies synaptoplasticity, making new synaptic connections by encouraging them to connect with nearby nerve cells

and more.
