Golden Teacher are Psilocybe cubensis magic mushrooms.
Most of the species we carry are Psilocybe cubensis. But each variety looks a little different and has slightly different growing conditions. Some people say “all cubes are cubes” (all cubensis are cubensis), but we think Golden Teacher are the perfect mid-strength variety of magic mushrooms. They are perfect for both beginners and seasoned magic mushroom users because the journey is characterised by the euphoric, gentle, and playful experience. That’s why they’re called Golden Teachers! In saying that, Golden Teacher magic mushrooms aren’t too strong, so they can be enjoyed by basically anybody. And if you’re a beginner, this is one of the best strains to start on.
It’s common for people to report all matter of psychedelic effects from Golden Teacher mushrooms, and the more you take, the stronger these effects come on. At around 1g, Golden Teacher magic mushrooms feel euphoric, joyful, playful, and loving. As the dose increases, visions and divergent thinking become more intense and there is a greater potential for “bad” or “challenging” trips. Ego dissolution is possible as the dose increases, but in general, the best dose for Golden Teachers seems to be around 1-3g.
Yes - you can use any variety of our bulk mushrooms for microdosing. However, you will need precision scales to measure out precise, minute doses. A microdose can start as low as 0.025g and be as much as 0.1g. The best way to store your magic mushrooms is to put them in a tightly sealed mason jar with a food-grade silica pack. This keeps your shrooms dry and away from any bacteria or fungus. Then, store the jar in a dark cupboard. They’ll stay good this way for up to 1 year before they start to lose potency.
There’s still no completely solid evidence that magic mushrooms can be used to treat medical conditions. However, there is ongoing research into if and how magic mushrooms might be able to treat depression, anxiety, traumatic brain diseases, and PTSD. If you are looking to use magic mushrooms as alternative therapy, you should consult your physician for the best possible course of action.
